Jerusalem

Jerusalem has sat at the center of Jewish longing for close to three thousand years. Jews around the world face it in prayer, remember it at weddings when the glass is broken, and close every Passover seder with the same four words: next year in Jerusalem. Psalm 137's vow — "If I forget you, O Jerusalem" — is one of the oldest promises in Jewish memory.
